This form is a tool to assist in connecting you with the Birchwood family. Please consider how you can participate within the body of Christ and check the appropriate boxes below. You will be contacted by a person associated with each ministry area. Together we can provide for the needs of our church and be enriched through our obedience.

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)
Ministry to young mothers offering them activities and fellowship while their children are cared for in a safe environment. Meets at BPC Sept thru May, the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month from 9:30 - 11:30 am.
  Help with childcare twice a month from 9:30 - 11:30 am.
  Help with childcare occasionally as needed.

Door Greeters
Arrive 1/2 hour before Sunday service to welcome worshippers.
  1 or 2 week commitment several times during the year.
  Occasionally greet for special services (Easter, Maundy Thursday, Christmas Eve, etc.)
  Serve on an on-call basis for last minute illness.

Men's Retreat
Held annually for spiritual renewal and fellowship. (May 7-8)
  Serve on planning committee.

Meals Ministry
Great way to meet other church families and offer meaningful support by providing a meal during illness or crisis. With enough volunteers, you can expect to be called only a few times within a year.
  I would like to be given the opportunity to occasionally provide meals as needed.

Second Saturday
Participate with other BPC members in local community service projects for 3 hours on the second Saturday of each Month.
  Participate occasionally.
  Add me to the group email notification list.

Van Drivers
Pick up people for Sunday morning service. No special license required but must be insurable on the church policy.
  Willing to drive on a rotating basis 1 or 2 months per year.
  Willing to occasionally drive as a substitute when needed.

Craft Fair
Annual 3-day event the second week in November.
  Kitchen help.
  Food Server.
  Decorate and display setup.
  Cashier.
  Publicity.
  Clean-up crew.
  Musicians to provide live background music.
  Greeter.
  Donate craft items to sell.

Prayer Tree
Pray for the needs of the congregation as requested.
  Send me prayer requests via email.

Seasonaires
Monthly fellowship dinner and entertainment for those 55 and over. Meets 3rd Tuesday of each month.
  Occasionally help with food preparation for monthly dinner.
  Phone participants each month to secure dinner reservations.
  Assistance with cleanup.
  Table and other decorations on rotating basis.

Fellowship
  Provide breakfast breads or pastries for Sunday School kickoff breakfast. (1 fall and 1 mid-year event.)
   
  Easter breakfast decorations.
  Easter breakfast food.
  Easter breakfast cleanup.
   
  July Church Picnic setup.
  July Church picnic food preparation arrangements.
  July Church picnic clean up.
  July Church picnic recreation.
   
  Serve on a committee that promotes several fellowship events throughout the year and work on one event. Time of year varies for event opportunities.

Office Volunteers
Perform light office duties (answer phone, mailings, etc) at the church Welcome Center during regular office hours.
  Work a 4 hour shift once a week (9 am-1 pm or 1 pm-5 pm.)
  Be part of a substitute list and be called as needed.

Women's Retreat
Held annually for spiritual renewal and fellowship. (March 5-6)
  Serve on the planning committee.
  Help to provide snacks.
  Nametags and registration.
  Led to be a speaker or offer a personal testimony.
  Publicity.

Small Groups
Meet regularly together for bible study, prayer and fellowship. Typically 4-12 people per group.
  Join a small group.
  Lead a new small group.
  Coordinate formation of new groups by matching people with group openings.
  Guide newly formed groups to help them get up and running.

Music and Worship
  Choir: Occasional to weekly commitment: Practice Wednesdays at 7 pm. No audition required.
   
  Worship Team Member: Guitarists, drummers, keyboardists & vocalists needed. Once a month to weekly commitment, scheduled by your availability.
   
  Sound/Lighting Techs: Setup the microphones and other sound system components and run the sound and lighting boards during worship services. Once a month to weekly commitment, scheduled by your availability. Training provided.
   
  Video Techs: Operate the computer program for the worship song lyrics and other video needs during the worship service. Once a month to weekly commitment, scheduled by your availability. Training provided.
   
  Special Music: Solo vocalist, instrumentalist or ensembles. Occasional commitment.
   
  Worship Committee member: Provide support and feedback for BPC's worship services. Meets at 7 pm the 1st Tuesday of each month.

Men's Breakfast
Meets at 6:30 am the 2nd and 4th Friday each month for fellowship, prayer and food.
  Occasionally provide breakfast food.
  Provide program one month per year.
  Be included on email reminder.

Memorial Services
The Church provides a reception for all services held at BPC. Occasional commitment.
  Provide fruit or vegetable tray.
  Provide cheese and crackers.
  Provide cookies or sweet bread.
  Make phone calls to arrange food and workers for service.
  Help at the reception (arrive 30-60 min before service begins and stay for clean up following service).

Adult Education
Offers teaching and fellowship to adults
  Share an interest with a group on a short term basis (1 to 4 weeks).
  Share an interest with a group over a longer term (8 to 12 weeks).
  Serve as host/hostess for one of the groups.

Nursery
Volunteers are needed to provide childcare during various church events.
  Nursery care during worship service.
  On-call volunteers for special events.
  Nursery care during vacation bible school.
  Serve on emergency call-list when someone is unable to work.
  Clean nursery toys one morning several times per month.

Sunday School
Assist in various ways to help facilitate the Sunday school program.
  Teach a class (preschool - 5th grade).
  Assist classroom teacher.
  Help with costumes for special programs.
  Assist with children's music.

Coffee Cart
Help set up, run and clean up the espresso cart Sunday mornings before and during Sunday school. Clean and shut down by the end of Sunday school hour.
  Buy milk and perishable items - (every other Sunday).
  Take orders and help serve lattes - (between 9 and 10+).
  Clean up, wash and prep for the next Sunday.

Ushering or BPC Ambassador Area
Serve as an usher during worship service or greet and assist newcomers to BPC on Sunday mornings at the welcome station.
  Serve as an usher for each Sunday in a given month. Please check below each month you expect to be available.

General Church Maintenance
Assist in maintaining the Church facilities on an as-needed basis.
  Electrical.
  HVAC.
  Plumbing.
  Touch up damaged sheet rock walls.
  Touch up paint on exterior doors on an as-needed basis.
  Inside or outside window washing.
  Clean gutters quarterly on a rotating basis.

Grounds Keeping
Perform general maintenance on the grounds and courtyards.
  Maintain area under the overhang by the front door.
  Trim larger trees and shrubs seasonally.
  Cut the grass weekly (March-October) on a rotating basis.

Church Decorations
Change interior Church decorations as appropriate to season and/or other events.
  Help with designing ideas.
  Put up decorations.
  Clean up/vacuum after decorating time.
  Provide light refreshments for decorating time.
  Assemble items at home to be used in church decorations.
  Banners

Promoting Birchwood
Miscellaneous ways to enhance fellowship, announcements and events at Birchwood.
  Take photos.
  Videotape events.
  Puppet shows.
  Sign making/posters.
  Display signs (small) done on the computer.
  Participate in skits or short announcements.
  Participate in plays.

Youth Ministries
  Vehicles (vans to use for transportation.)
  Drivers (drivers who will transport students.)
  Snacks/beverages (donation for weekly youth group and big events.)
  Babysitting (so young families who have the desire, can help volunteer with the youth.)
  Prayer partners (pray for specific students.)
